Meet Your Inspector

Hi, I'm Jason Chase. I was born in Albany and grew up here until 14 years old. I moved to Lodi, California for high school where after I started my own business delivering escrow documents.

I returned to Oregon in 2008, and pursued an education in engineering. 2008 was also the year that I met my wife and business partner, Rebecca. We made our first home purchase in 2015 and have since welcomed our three sons, Micah, Avery and Marcus.

I enjoy everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer, including camping, hiking, rock climbing and rafting. I also like to spend time taking things apart and putting them back together, learning about the various ways in which things work. I am analytical, investigative, curious, determined, thorough and always in pursuit of answers.

I have always been fascinated by the way things work, especially houses. There are so many components, so many systems built into a structure to work together. I love being a home inspector because I get to inspect these systems and help educate people about them. I get to see new things on a regular basis. No two houses are the same.

I am a third generation home inspector. My grandfather, Russell Ehlers, started doing home inspections in 1982. Russell was able to share his love of the industry with his son-in-law, my dad, Jay Chase. Jay Chase Full Home Inspections was founded 20 years ago in the Willamette Valley as well.
